The Bullfighting Season begins in the Sevilla Bullring.
As every year, Easter Sunday is a big day for the Aficionados in the Sevilla Bullring. The season for the Bullfights begins, and for about a month almots every afternoon the best bullfighters will perform in the Sevilla Bullring.
The Maestranza Bullring is one of the oldest bullrings in Spain and also one of the most important ones. The dream of every bullfighter (Matador) is to have a great afternoon in the Sevilla Bullring and be carried out throuhg the ” Príncipe Gate” on the shoulders of the audience.
The Maestranza Bullring was built in the XVIII century and is today one of the most visited monuments in Seville. It has a capacity of around 13.000 spectators.
In the Museum there are exhibit different paintings, sculptures and objects that will help you to understand the Art of the Bullfight. At the end of the visit, you will have the chance to actually go into the Arena, to take pictures.
